RE-Xtreme DRB-REW Ninja Configuration #002 - pre test

RE-Xtreme DRB-REW Ninja config is basically the ALL black setup.

REW Ninja Spec is a straight swap from my previous counter-steer Mid Engine - DRB into the prototype chassis.

I was certain that I would need a little more steering angle from my current setup, so the front knuckles will be replaced. but for now it's only 'just' capable on our super polished concrete surface but carpet is fine.

The remainder of the chassis has a few changes. Rear BD-7 Ball Diff and some gearing changes will result in a high level. new rear springs also on the way.

Distribution is just where I want it.

I have a few minor chances underneath. the omission of a few hole and inclusion of a few more. mainly for the Servo and battery mounts.

The new design battery mount will include the facility for the Yokomo Lipo holders

So tomorrow... more testing...

RE-Xtreme RC DRB-REW Prototype #001 - DEBUT and play!

Setup nearly complete. FD3s Installed.

RE-Xtreme RC DRB-REW Conversion is ready for it's first live test. result--- AWESOME!

A last minute switch failure saw me swap the Airia from the DP-RWD into he DRB.

DP wipers are awesome items. All you need really.

First lap was good, second was better and only tuning can improve from this point.

I already love the way the chassis works. the ability to place the battery directly over the rear wheels is spot on with a shorty pack.

I tried many locations including a long full size battery all which gave excellent results.

Performance is already more predictable than of my previous DP Weight Shift Setup.

New Speed-Line setups are requiring a bit more camber to get the rear side bite happening.

But the DRB-REW is already spon on. Massive front steering angle is very very beneficial for CR-1 compliance.

With the level already high at GCRC,

We are all pushing ourselves to get consistency and improve more and more.

Good days ahead.

Updrading can be good, but adding a stack of features can mean more complexity.

it's going to take a while to unleash the full capability of this machine.

Already dropped the wheel position for equal arm length operation which keeps the hands at an ergonomic position.

Basic setting are in like volume and name....

Tomorrow... Program the first model.
