GCRC Tues Play #1

Battle Training... @ GCRC,

Lead or follow... just get it on!

Get your proximity in Check...

TIGHT doesn't even describe how close battles are these days.

One two three four five or more.

Or maybe you are just a single... There's something to practice.

This picture shows driver's age with a 45 year spread. Maturity and youth.

I wish I still had those youthful reflexes.

V8 vs V86

Both running awesome!

What are you looking at?

Brock Commodore is setup for some fun driving.

Battle ready!

My V8 Cruiser features $1.50c light kit.  Xmas time has lots of bargains.

Diving into the loop section.

And the high speed exit.

There wasn't much break time for me tonight.

Happy to lead and let the others knock on the door a little. Note: Pliers a temporary weight solution.

Stay tuned for part II.

GCRG FRIDAY FRASH.

A great session from afternoon start...

 to late night finish...

Battles a plenty. Ready for the switch.

and some super tight running.

I wonder who owns this one.

Sliding with Speed.

Super Clean FD3s cutting a nice image.

but it's hard to ignore those silvias

They are everywhere.

I've recently added some Lighting to the circuit. For short sessions with lighting, it adds another dimension.

 LIGHTS ON!

Something my commodore was lacking.

Drift Package requiring some extra weight for good traction. While my Weight Shift DP can match the CS cars for speed, the Plastic DP needs a little more.

Hachi Slide!

But those lights are shining on.

A switch back to the Weight Shift DP FC3s Rx7 allowed for some tight battles. RWD vs CS.

It was definitely a blue theme at some times.

Photographer taking advantage of the low light and low shutter speeds for some great imagery.

With running lights off, you just have to be a bit more aware. But for a short 20 minutes. It was fun.

Getting a new feel to place..

In some places when you are near the wall, it's like you are running on light.

But it's always the contrast that works. Love this shot!

Square Dance

Drifting is like dancing in a way. you need a good partner.

When people travel interstate or even a just couple of hours inter city and bring a drift car. You know they are keen.

You can probably also guarantee, they will be on your door after a short tune.

Such is the style of a crazy drifter.

The other night at GCRC these two boys were dialed in and performing well. Tonight trying something different.

But soon mashing it up.

RWD style in full force.

Follow the leader... New young drivers and the next gen mixing it up.

plenty of this. The sign says... This is Drift, not racing... but actually there was a three lap race at one point. haha!

But this is the kind of proximity we are used to.

Rippin.

Chasing the wide line.

 Slammin.
