RE-Xtreme RC is proud to display the DRB-REW Prototype #001 in it's raw unfinished form.

The full carbon set is now a hands on experience.

From design to reality is a great experience.

Every measurement of every piece is accurate.

Support for a whole host of different options.
4 different steering positions are just the start. 3 Different servo configurations, Many battery locations.

To start the build I had to choose a colour. Yes... Blue it is.

So the deconstruction of the blue Overdose DRB began and choices for original config were made.

Config No1 is as shown.
DRB V2 Front. Drift Package RWD Long Wiper.
Slim Hyper Drive brace, Team Suzuki Rear end and BD7 Ball Diff

There are a lot of overly complicated designs out there is RWD land. I've gone for simple to start with.
I am still finalising motor belt pulleys to replace the spur and spacers for the battery mount screw lengths and more but I am already super excited where this is going.
NOTE: pulley on top of the OD motor mount will be removed as not required

The front is super optional. The upper deck can support the DP positions shown here with a lateral servo. Just ahead of those are the GRK slide rack positions.
There are 2 positions for the normal DRB wiper set in carbon replacing the alloy mount point.
From the pictures above you will also notice 3 sets of steering wipers that I am evaluating to accompany those options.

But already the DP long wipers seem more than adequate. For someone who has already upgraded to the narrow scrub front end, this is an easy change.

Narrow chassis allows for a LOT of body roll. Rear tower has positions for 5mm longer shock or using a longer ball end to raise the length and regain stroke. All bulkheads have been raised 5mm in these images.

This works with the cutout in the rear shock tower to allow for a flexible battery position.
Large cutout for rear spool also allows for a larger spool pulley to slow the rear wheel speed.
I will be running 9-40 ball diff and testing 9-40~45 rear solid axles in testing.
I will also be running 11-41~45 Motor belt pulleys to cater for the rear motor position.

Shorty pack or course allows for the most variations.
This is my current fave position.

Most will mount the battery here. Only angled because of current temporary pulley. But the rear shock tower cutout allows for a low position.
Simple OEM DRB rubber straps will hold the battery no issues.

As you can see, I've incorporated the optional DP suspension positions and the rear diffuser location.
Twin servo and other positions are all ready.
I am still deciding a lot of what the first setup will be. But the electrics will be installed soon.
M12S , Sanwa Super Votex Plus D and Twin SRG BLX, Etc Etc....
A slow process but the results will not be bad. I can already see the hours of thinking about items paying off.
It literally took 1 hour to convery my other chassis to this position with everything bolting in perfectly.
Stay tuned for final config and first tests.
